Helping Hands- Payton Myers' 4th Grade
In Mrs. Payton’s 4th grade classroom, learning is hands-on, engaging, and rooted in big ideas. This year, our focus is A Year of History, where students explore major time periods and how the past shapes the world around them.
My goal is to create a classroom that feels like an extension of home. When students feel comfortable, loved, and happy, they take risks, stay engaged, and grow in meaningful ways. I care deeply about each student’s emotional well-being and am intentional about creating a space where they feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for.
Reading and writing are woven into daily learning through novels, discussions, and meaningful projects that bring learning to life. Students collaborate, build, and take ownership of their work in a space designed to support independence, creativity, and confidence.
Students are truly known and valued in this classroom, and I work intentionally to build strong connections with each of them so they feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. It is a space where students are engaged, challenged, and able to have fun while growing into confident learners.
