Helping Hands- Wendi Johnson's 1st Grade
Welcome to Mrs. Wendi’s 1st grade classroom where students are met with a warm welcoming space where they can feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. Our classroom is thoughtfully organized to support student independence and creativity with clearly defined areas that guide routines. Hands-on, interactive learning is at the heart of everything we do—students are encouraged to touch, build, create, and actively engage with materials that bring lessons to life.
Our classroom is intentionally designed to foster growth, independence, and confidence. Flexible seating, accessible supplies, and student-centered displays empower learners to take ownership of their work and their space. While the classroom runs on consistent routines and clear expectations, it also thrives on discovery, imagination, and meaningful collaboration with peers.
Above all, our classroom is a home away from home-a place where every child is nurtured and supported. We celebrate successes, learn from failures, and show grace through mistakes and forgiveness. These shared experiences bring us together and help us become a strong, caring classroom family. Mrs. Kristi and I are so excited to begin this first grade journey with you!
